Modern U.S. weapons will be provided with $800 million.
President Joe Biden spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelennskyy over the phone this week about additional support the United States will provide Ukraine. The Pentagon will send $800 million worth of military weapons and technology, including helicopters, drones, and protective equipment against chemical attacks. Pentagon officials are warning of a slow but sure escalation in Russian attacks, and President Biden hopes to help Ukraine defend against them.
“The steady supply of weapons the United States and its allies and partners have provided to Ukraine has been critical in sustaining its fight against the Russian invasion,” President Biden stated. “We cannot rest now. As I assured President Zelenskyy, the American people will continue to stand with the brave Ukrainian people in their fight for freedom.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and his administration to be discerning in the supply of military aid to Ukraine.
- For Pentagon officials as they coordinate the shipment and receipt of weapons and other support.
